Welcome to my blog on birds of our backyard and birding in and around Vancouver Island. All the images are my own taken with a Canon Powershot and intended only as a record of some of my sightings at home and while visiting various birdwatching sights in the area.

I love birds so much that I try to capture their beauty carving basswood or tupelo and use acrylics as my choice of paint.
